If you are wearing a ring or a necklace that holds significant sentimental value, earrings given by a friend, or a brand-new piece, all jewellery means something. Collaboration is a big part of the Philippa Herbert design process, meeting clients in person, frequently in their homes means that Sally & Philippa get a strong sense of who their clients are and what they want from their jewellery. The inspiration from their clients is translated into sketches and technical drawings which, after being approved, are then turned into something wonderful and wearable by their master goldsmith.
In addition to creating new designs, the re-working, or ‘maturing’ of existing pieces is an important part of our brand. The aim is to preserve the multi-generational aspect of jewellery - respecting its sentimental value whilst giving it a new lease of life.
Our mission when working with heirloom pieces that need love and care is to give them new life and functionality while being able to be comfortably worn. We love nothing more than when one of our designs turns into an association piece that becomes synonymous with the wearer contemporising it.
If you have a question for us or you would like to book a jewellery consultation, we would love to hear from you!
